I am going to go through the database and try to scrub out all of the bad users - most of which can be identified through IP address, e-mail address, posting history, etc. I think there may be a problemw ith a sql injection which is what allows this to happen. I am currently learning more about coding php and sql - and hope to eventually be able to fix the problem through either upgrades or finding the piece of code that is allowing this to happen. It won't be fixed quick by any means as nothign stated here is a quick fix.
A few days ago I went through and disabled the known users who were causing the most visible problems and also in several instances banned their ip if it appeared static. But, this really is only a temporary solution and more needs to be done in this regard - which I will try to do.
Also, my Yahoo account is up and running and I keep it turned on via mobile phone most of the day, so of anyone has a problem or just wants to chat - msg me at either kytheriea or aislingbronach (both are set up to alias and go straight to me). Just let me know who you are if you send a request as I have been gettign the standard selection of spammers. Some of you were added years and years ago but I am not sure if you are still active.

I'm on Yahoo IM alot and I have it set to automatically forward to my mobile phone, so it really is a good way to get ahold of me in real time. The only times I don't get messages are when I am asleep, in the office (its a protected building and grounded out so getting a signal is hard to impossible), or the battery in my phone is dead.

One more note on the upgrade. It looks like phpbb has migrated to phpbb3. I cannot easily transition to phpbb3 and will have to convert the entire backend over to do it. I am trying to figure out the easiest way to get this down and make sure I am able to do it. I will make back-ups etc but encourage you to copy down any contact info etc before I try to make the transition. The first attempt will probably be on sunday. If will try to keep everything posted but if you notice that the boards are down, its just ecause I am working on them...
